Founder

Justin was born and raised in Minnesota. He moved to Colorado in 2009 to pursue an Engineering degree with a minor in Entrepreneurship. Initially drawn to snowboarding, Justin soon immersed himself in the diverse outdoor offerings of Colorado. Today, his interests span rock climbing, mountain biking, trail running, mountaineering, cross-country skiing, camping, and more—all while balancing a demanding career.

From a young age, Justin displayed a natural talent for identifying opportunities for improvement. He maintained a growing list of inventions and innovations, paving the way for the founding of SOTA Engineering. For Justin, launching this venture was a seamless integration of his skills, education, and lifelong passions.
